Ingredients

  • 1 shortcrust pastry
  • 200 g La Fraîche
  • 175 g vegetable bacon
  • 200ml soy milk
  • 2 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp. chickpea flour (optional)
  • Nutmeg, salt and pepper to taste
  • Vegan grated cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. In an oiled frying pan, sauté the bacon bits until golden. Set aside and preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. Take the dough out of the fridge, roll it out and spread it into a pie form.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the soy milk, cornstarch, and chickpea flour. Add La Fraîche, salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  4. Add the bacon bits (and grated cheese, if you’d like some).
  5. Pour the mixture over the dough, smooth well with a spatula, and bake for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing.
